Our third investment, in Cokeville.

There are many attractions in the area.

Lake Alice

Lake Alice Campground has 9 campsites and is a 1.5 mile hike east from the Hobble Creek Campground. Lake Alice provides beautiful views, fishing and a variety of hiking and horseback opportunities to visitors.

Fly fishing is apparently unreal there, Bonneville Cutthroat Trout (no other species have been introduced to the lake)

Less than an hour away attractions

  • Fish Haven Canyon, East Side of Bear Lake in Idaho, snowmobiling, ATV’s and mountain biking trails, 56 minutes from the ranch, head west on Fish Haven Canyon Rd 1.2 miles to parking area

  • The Bear Lake valley and its surrounding mountain ranges have over 350 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and wide open play areas with no crowds and no fences, an hour away

Single Track Dirt Biking Fish Haven Canyon

UTV - OHV trails Fish Haven Canyon

Bear Lake Valley Snowmobiling

Pine Creek Ski Resort

  • Private mountain rentals starting at 4k

  • Around 30 runs of incredible terrain at your disposal

  • Offers mountain biking as well when not in snow season

Bear Lake Adventure Center

  • Jet Skis, snowmobiling, SXS with guided tours (51 minutes away from Cokeville)

Bear Lake State Park

  • Bear Lake State Park doesn't allow ATVs or OHVs within the park areas but there are hundreds of miles of ATV/OHV trails to explore in the surrounding mountains and beaches of Utah and Idaho. Access the trails of upper Logan Canyon via Garden City Canyon Trail or head to Hodges Canyon and Richardson Canyon fork to access the US Forest Service trails along Sinks Road

  • There are 16 recommended OHV and ATV trails easily accessible from Bear Lake. The Garden City Canyon Trail takes you to the scenic Bear Lake Overlook, the Sinks Trail is lined with Douglas Firs and Aspens and leads to the deep limestone sinkholes and onto Peters Sink, one of the coldest places in the US!.

Old Ephraim's Grave

Another popular Utah OHV trail accessed from US Hwy 89 at Right Hand Fork Canyon Road. The rocky trail is spectacularly scenic and leads to the grave and granite memorial of Old Ephraim, a giant 10 ft grizzly that roamed the canyon in the early 20th century, harassing the sheep herders by eating their sheep.

Other prime ATV areas

South Eden Canyon on the east side of the lake, Temple Canyon on the west and Bloomington Canyon and Fish Haven Canyon Trail Head across the border in Idaho.

Fishing

There are four fish species in the lake, Bonneville Cisco, Bonneville Whitefish, Bear Lake Whitefish and Bear Lake Sculpin

Anglers also dunk worms, cast lures and float artificial flies on many of the area lakes, reservoirs, streams and creeks. Float tubes are especially popular at Montpelier Reservoir. The Montpelier Rearing Pond has easy access for small children and physically-challenged individuals who wish to fish

In the winter time, ice fishing for trout and whitefish is very popular as well, the Montpelier Reservoir is also a close place to go ice fishing, rainbow trout are the popular attraction there

As of April 18th the ice has melted and fishing is open to the public!

Dirt biking near Cokeville

Strawberry Creek Trail (starts in Thayne, WY) tad bit further than we would like but the option is there if wanted (hour and 11 min away )

10 miles of technical, steep, and very rugged single track trails

Trailhead is located near Strawberry Reservoir but parking can be difficult/limited and the road can be very rough and narrow
